Double Walled Stainless Steel Funnels

Used in food processing and process control facilities, double walled, or jacketed funnels are mainly used for temperature control. Double walled funnels are made using two stainless steel funnels, nested together to form a high quality, complete assembly.  Temperature control is monitored by running cool fluids through the jacket to keep the contents cool, or running hot fluids through the assembly to keep the contents hot. The nested funnels act as a double boiler which helps keep viscous products flowing, or to keep the product at at a set temperature.

Double walled funnels are utilized by circulating hot water, steam, or thermal fluid through the space between the inner and outer cones, keeping the product-contact surface at a controlled temperature from inlet to outlet. This results in consistent flow rates, fewer clogs, less downtime, and cleaner cycles. A funnel that drains completely leaves nothing behind to harden, contaminate, or require manual intervention between batches. On the cold side, the same principle applies: circulating chilled fluid through the jacket keeps heat-sensitive biologics, pharmaceuticals, or temperature-controlled chemical intermediates within spec during transfer, even in warm environments.
